Mobility India
(MI) founded in Bangalore in 1994, addresses issues of people
with disabilities, specially the economically weaker section of
society with priority to Women and Children. The activities
focus on rights to health care including
rehabilitation services, education,
livelihood, social
inclusion & participation, training
and research & development. Mobility
India's Rehabilitation Research and Training Centre in
Bangalore, a model of disability friendliness, houses all its
activities. Regional Resource Centre in
Kolkata was established in 1998. The organisation has a
perfect blend of disability and non-disability at all levels -
an innovative organisation of abilities and commitment in its
approach to address the real need.
Mobility India’s Rehabilitation Research and Training Centre –
“Millennium Building on Disability”
is a state of the art model disabled friendly building with
various accessibility features for all. It is an ideal
model of how a building can influence Changes in the Disability
field and it houses all of Mobility India’s activities. |
