Community Based Initiatives following CBR Matrix

CBR promotes inclusive development and empowerment of persons with disabilities and their families. Inclusive development is a process of ensuring all marginalized / excluded groups are included in the development process. It creates opportunities for people with disabilities to have access to health, education, livelihood, social & empowerment and ensure holistic development of individuals and their families within the community.

MI initiated the CBR programme in urban slums in Bangalore in 1999. Over the years it has extended these programmes in the rural and peri - urban settings of Karnataka.
