Community Based Rehabilitation

Location: MI > CBR>Anekal Taluk
 

Anekal is a taluk of Bangalore district and lies in the southern part of the Bangalore metropolitan area around 40 kilometers from downtown Bangalore.

Mobility India has initiated a community based rehabilitation programme in 44 villages of Attibele Hobli in Anekal Taluk from January 2008.The project focuses on an inclusive society for people with disabilities, having equal rights and good quality of life, which includes adequate food, water, clothing, shelter, education, good health, recreation and sports and income for basic needs.

The key objectives of this programme

  • Enhanced disabled children’s school access, enrolment, retention, enjoyment of school, educational achievement.

  • Enhanced economic and socio-political status of people with disabilities to increase their capabilities and actual participation as full citizens.
