Community Based Rehabilitation

The main focus is to reach out information and knowledge among people with disabilities, their family members and the community about causes and consequences of disabilities and enable them to take appropriate decisions to improve and maintain their well- being.

Rehabilitation Services include home- based physical, occupational therapy, provision of assistive devices and referrals for special surgeries to correct deformities and other types of impairments. These services focus on measures that promote development of infants and young children with disabilities and training and self care, communication and mobility for older children and adults with disabilities.

In addition there are programmes for early intervention like –

  • Ante Natal & Postal care

  • Regular Immunization for children 0-5

  • Nutrition Supplements for mal- nourished children
