Muhadeen (50) has congenital deformity in his upper back.  A few years ago, when he was physically active he would go around on his cycle and buy and sell old newspapers.  For the past 2 years he is unable to carry out the same tasks resulting in unemployment and no income. He was motivated to enroll as a Self help Group member. Through this he availed health support for his back pain with medication and therapy. The members encouraged him to start his own business. They helped him get a STD booth and also set up a petty shop business. The group also helped him access government schemes available for people with disabilities like pension, identity card and bus & railway pass.
