Course Definition & Objectives:
The Community Rehabilitation Workers are trained to act as
facilitators and ensure that there is a link between the people who
are disabled and those who provide the rehabilitation services. They
are made aware of the stakeholder's roles in the Community Based
Rehabilitation Programme.
Programme covers the practical and theoretical aspects of community
based rehabilitation. The training sensitizes the participants to
understand the living and working environment of the person with
disabilities. The uses and benefits of orthosis, prosthesis, and
rehabilitation devices are also included in the training curriculum.
The course also helps in creating awareness of the various issues
related to disabilities
Duration:
6 -weeks
Training Methodology:

Training would be relevant to tasks required of or performed by
these persons.

Focus on skills and attitudes as well as knowledge.

The approach used would be very flexible according to the needs
of different groups of personnel and the need for changes in
content over time
Who should attend:
Those who have finished a minimum of 8 years of schooling but
preference will be given to people who have completed 10 years of
schooling with an experience and background in Community Based
Rehabilitation. Knowledge of English is required. Mobility India
gives priority to people with disabilities, especially women. |
