Teaching Methodology: The
trainers utilize a participatory approach to learning which helps
the students to develop knowledge, attitude and skills to carry out
their professional roles efficiently. A variety of strategies and
methods are used to ensure that all the students have equal
opportunities to learn.
Through exposure
to live models and varied disabling conditions the students will get
ample opportunities to sharpen their practical knowledge and skills.
Student performances are assessed on a regular basis and the
progress monitored. Students are encouraged to seek extra help form
their personal tutors outside lesson times. Special attention is
placed on development of a positive attitude towards people with
disabilities.
Mentorship Programme: Students
will receive individual assistance during the course. Each student
will be allocated a personal guide to help settle in the new
environment and to cope with personal and practical problems in the
initial phase of training. Personal tutors will work closely with
the students to provide educational and learning support throughout
the study period.
