Course Desciption

The Lower Limb Orthotics/Prosthetics Technologist is a skilled orthoprostherehabilitation professional who is able to assess and fabricate assistive orthotic/prosthetic devices for person with disabilities under supervision of Orthotist/Prosthetist. Most of the major physical disabilities found in India and other low income countries are included in the training syllabus.

Duration : 18 Months for each course

 

Accreditation

A student who has attended the training and completed the requirements for all modules successfully will be qualified as a “Cat II Single Discipline Lower Limb Orthotics/Prosthetics Technologist” and be eligible to receive a certificate from International Society for Prosthetics & Orthotics (ISPO).

Eligibility

Have a minimum of 12 years of schooling OR Have completed 'A' level education

OR


10 years of schooling with Industrial Training Institute certificate/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics Engineering by the Technical Education Board or with Prosthetic and Orthotic experience are also eligible.
