About Rehabilitation Therapy
 Rehabilitation therapy assistants work with developmentally disabled patients to help regain their physical, social and mental abilities through therapeutic activities and exercises. Other responsibilities of rehabilitation therapist assistants include carrying out basic assessment, providing therapy intervention, documenting the client's progress and designing aids for overall development of children with disabilities. The Rehabilitation Therapist Assistant (RTA) is a skilled health-care worker who performs the intervention plan of person with disability. On completion of training the person will be familiar with different types of disabilities, carry out basic assessment and intervention, interact with families and the community to address social causes of disability and change attitudes.
