Refresher course for 6 weeks CBR workers
Introduction:
This six-week training Programme covers the practical and
theoretical aspects of community based rehabilitation. The training
sensitizes the participants to understand the living and working
environment of the person with disabilities. The uses and benefits
of orthosis, prosthesis, and rehabilitation devices are also
included in the training curriculum. The course also helps in
creating awareness of the various issues related to disabilities.
Objectives
The Community Rehabilitation Workers are trained to act as
facilitators and ensure that there is a link between the people who
are disabled and those who provide the rehabilitation services. They
are made aware of the stakeholder's roles in the Community Based
Rehabilitation Programme.

Eligibility
Those who have finished a minimum of 8 years of schooling but
preference will be given to people who have completed 10 years of
schooling with an experience and background in Community Based
Rehabilitation. Knowledge of English is required. Mobility India
gives priority to people with disabilities, especially women.
