Inclusive Children’s Summer Camp
A four days inclusive summer camp was
organized at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyala
Hondarabalu, Chamarajanagara from 12th to
15th May 2009. 131 children including 76
disabled children participated in the camp.
The camp was lead by Mr.Maltesh Badigar the
resource person- who is well known and
experienced in mask making, painting and
stage performances.
The camp was inaugurated by Mr. G.Jayaram,
Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Panchayath-
Chamarajanagar. The chief guest who were
present at the inauguration were Mr.Jayaram,
District Disabled Welfare Officer ,
Mr.Giridhar Karkal, Manager, District Lead
Bank, Chamarajanagara, Mr. Venkateshwaran B,
Principal Jawahar Navodaya Vidyala,
Hondarabalu, Chamarajanagara and Mr.
Malatesh Badiger, Member, Karnataka State
Nataka Academy.
The chief
guests shared their childhood experiences on summer camp and
also depicted the importance of extracurricular activities in
schools.
Highlight: A colorful banner was made by Maltesh Badigar which
was colored by the children and the chief guest which portrayed
the meaning of ‘Inclusive’. The children were taught on mask
making and different drama like Andher Nagari Chowpat Raja and
Balu Bannada Lokavaiah,
The children exhibited their talent by performing the dramas.
The audience were flabbergasted with their dialogues and their
costumes. The 20 minutes performance was memorable. The
background music of Ranga Jangama team and voice of Narasihma
Murthy added colors to the presentation.
The Asst Gen Manager of NABARD Mr.Vinay was the chief guest for
the valedictory session.
Mrs. Radha- Deputy Director of Women and Child Welfare
Department also visited the camp. |
